I'm Movin' Up (and GIVEAWAY!)

Happy New Year, everyone!

I've got big news -- I'm moving back to New York City in a little under a week, whoa nelly! New York and me go back generations in my family, and I'm super excited to be heading back that way. My sewing time is sadly going to be minimal, but I'm hoping to get some time in at the Sewing Studio in the Garment District while I transition. We'll see!

...GIVEAWAY..!
To celebrate the move (and my upcoming 1-year blogiversary that just snuck up on me), I'm hosting my first-ever giveaway! I'll be giving away these 4 patterns:

1. Knit party or summer dress from McCall's (6462) released for this spring. Runs multi-size from 4 thru 12. I have a copy of this pattern myself and can't wait to sew it up!

2. Loose-fitting blouse from McCall's (4106) in sizes 6-8-10, date 1989. My grandmother gave this to me and she cut out the pieces to size 10, but I checked and all the pieces are there. I tend to shy away from this style blouse and hope it will find a happy home with someone else!

3. Kwik Sew 3308 is a bias-cut halter top, cut to size S. The only pieces missing are for the view A neckline, but if you can draft your own the bodice is still there! It even includes traced pieces of ones that need to be cut out more than once.

4. McCall's 5979 loose-fitting knit top, minus the bling, cut to size XS. The pattern pieces for the applique/jewels are missing, but the front, back and sleeve pieces are all there for you to make a simple unadorned top. The bottom parts of these pieces have been chopped off, but are included and are easily re-attached with tape.

To enter, please follow these 3 simple steps:
  1. Be a follower of my blog. I've posted so little this past year due to some personal family stuff and this is a "thank you!" for sticking with me.
  2. Share your favorite location/building/etc. in New York City. If you've never been to NYC, you can share a place you've always wanted to visit or you know from a movie. I'd love to incorporate your favorite spots in my future sewing photos!
  3. Leave an email address in the comments so I can contact you if you win.
This is an international giveaway and will close Wednesday, January 11 at midnight EST. Short window because I'd like to make sure these are mailed out before I head north!

Have a great weekend, readers! And I'll "see yas" in the Big Apple!
